Terms and Conditions

Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use the San Bernardino Concrete Company website, ask us for a quote or hire us for concrete work. By using our website or booking work with us, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
When we sign a written estimate or contract with you for a specific job, that document governs the job. If it says something different from this page, the signed document wins.
What we do
San Bernardino Concrete Company is a concrete contractor in San Bernardino, CA. We build and repair driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, slabs, foundations, retaining walls and other flatwork, which covers the flat concrete around a house and yard, for homes and businesses in San Bernardino and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew on our About page.
The service descriptions on this site are general. The exact scope of your job, including materials, thickness, finish and site prep, is whatever is written in your estimate or contract.
Estimates and pricing
Quotes are free, given on site and come with no obligation, because we need to see the ground, the access and where the water runs before we can price a job honestly.
An estimate is based on what we can see when we visit. Conditions we can't see can change the cost. These include what's under an old slab, soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, buried roots or pipes, and changes you ask for after work starts. If that happens, we'll tell you before doing the added work and get your OK on the new price.
An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, material prices may have moved, and we may need to update the quote. Any pricing information on this site is general and isn't an offer.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We set a start date with you once you accept the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, so rain, high heat, wind or a supplier delay can push a pour back. When conditions would weaken the slab, we'd rather move the date than pour anyway.
Curing is part of every job. It's the time new concrete needs to gain strength before it can take weight. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk and drive on it, and you agree to keep people, pets and vehicles off it until then.
Unless your contract says otherwise, you're responsible for giving us clear access to the work area. You're also responsible for any HOA approvals and for telling us about private lines like sprinklers, septic or yard lighting, because those aren't marked by the utility locating service.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can at (840) 222-9185. If we've already ordered materials, booked a concrete delivery or started work, you're responsible for those costs as your contract sets out.
Payment
Your estimate or contract lists any deposit, the payment schedule and the ways you can pay. Final payment is due when the work described in your contract is complete.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's caught up. We may also use the remedies California law allows to collect what's owed, including a lien on the property where the work was done.
Our work and what the warranty covers
We stand behind our work. If something we did isn't right, call us, and we'll come out and look at it. Any written warranty on your job is the one in your contract, and it covers only what that warranty says.
Concrete can crack, and no contractor can promise it won't. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line, and we prepare the base to keep cracking down. Even so, hairline cracks, small color differences and weathering of the surface are normal and aren't defects.
Our warranty doesn't cover damage from things outside our control. That includes vehicles heavier than the slab was built for, deicing salts, tree roots, soil movement, drainage changes made after we leave, and anyone using the slab before it has cured.
Except for what's written in your contract, and as far as the law allows, this website and its content are provided as-is, without any other warranty. Information on the site is general and isn't engineering advice for your property.
Limits on our liability
As far as California law allows, San Bernardino Concrete Company isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income or lost use of your driveway or patio while work is underway. The same goes for the normal disturbance of soil, lawn and plants right around the work area. Our total liability for a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Nothing on this page takes away rights that the law doesn't allow a business to limit.
Settling a disagreement
If you have a problem, call us first, because most issues get settled with a visit and a straight conversation. If we can't work it out together, we both agree to try mediation before going to court, unless your contract says otherwise or the claim belongs in small claims court.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any legal case about these terms or our work will be heard in the courts of San Bernardino County, unless the law requires a different place.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page from time to time. Changes apply from the day they're posted, and they don't change a contract you've already signed with us.
Questions about these terms
If anything here is unclear, call us at (840) 222-9185, seven days a week from 7 AM to 10 PM, or send a message through our Contact page. We'd rather answer a question before the job than sort out a misunderstanding after it.
